The Commander of NNS Luguard, Moses Epelle, said the suspects were arrested on April 4, 2024, after a tip off. He said, “The four suspects gained access to the jetty of the company through the waterway on a wooden boat which was loaded with about 400 bags of the materials. They wanted to convey the materials to an unidentified destination. “The gallant effort of officers of the navy on the waterway, in conjunction with vigilantes, led to the arrest of the suspects,” adding that they would be handed over to the police.
