News Reports Three Persons Die of Cholera in Benue by joshuabiem July 3, 2024 written by joshuabiem July 3, 2024 67 Three persons have died of cholera outbreak in the past two weeks in Benue State. This was confirmed by the Benue State Epidemiologist, Dr. Henry Ijabo, on Tuesday in Makurdi. Speaking to newsmen, Ijabo disclosed that out of the 13 cases of cholera recorded in the state, 10 are under close observation by officials of the epidemiological unit. He appealed to residents to take certain health precautions by avoiding open defecation as there is currently no vaccine for cholera. Ijabo said cholera is most prevalent in places like Agatu, Ado, and Otukpo LGAs of the state.
