News Reports Air Force Nabs 35-year-old Kidnapper in Kano by oaniunoh February 21, 2024 written by oaniunoh February 21, 2024 71 Troops of the Nigerian Air Force deployed to Durbunde in Takai Local Government Area of Kano State have apprehended a 35-year-old high-profile kidnapper, popularly known as Isah Abdul. Abdul was arrested on Monday, February 19, at about 6.30pm in a well-coordinated operation in Takai, following credible intelligence on the hideout of the notorious kidnapper and his boys, who were responsible for several kidnappings in the area. PUNCH Metro learnt that a preliminary investigation by the security agencies established that Isah Abdul and his gang were responsible for the abduction of one Yakubu Ibrahim Tagaho, popularly known as “Sarkin Noman Gaya on April 6, 2023, from his residence in Tagaho Village in Takai Local Government Area of Kano. According to a press statement made available to our correspondent by the Director of Public Relations and Information, Nigerian Air Force, Air Vice Marshal Edward Gabkwet, the victim was said to have been released a month later after paying ransom of N30m. Also, in December 2023, the same alleged criminal abducted two sisters, alongside three others in the same village and released them after collecting a huge ransom. The statement also alleged that he was responsible for numerous other kidnapping activities, as he had strong ties with other known kidnapping gangs, like the Danbul Fulaku gang which also operates in Takai LGA. Meanwhile, Isah Abdul is in the custody of the Nigerian Air Force, (NAF) still undergoing investigations and will soon be handed over to the appropriate authorities for further investigation.
