by oaniunoh

Heavily armed gunmen suspected to be Boko Haram elements have sacked Allawa town in the Shiroro local government area of Niger state

The incident reportedly took place early Thursday morning when about 100 terrorists were said to have attacked the military camp in the town.

Several villagers were said to have either been killed or injured while the rest are already escaping to Sarkinpawa in Munya local government area.

It could not be confirmed if there were soldiers at the Allawa camp because the post was allegedly deserted after six Soldiers, one of them a Captain, were brutally murdered over a week now.

THISDAY observed that air force jets had been dispatched to the area to rescue the situation.
