The crisis has placed a colossal burden on countries, states and territories across the world on how best to ensure public safety. Thus far, experts in renowned medical institutions such as the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) have evolved guidelines such as regular hand washing, social distancing and restrictions on mass gatherings. Undoubtedly, the observance or violations of these protocols have potential implications for public safety.
