News Reports Katsina Governor Leads Night Raid, 48 Suspects Nabbed by joshuabiem August 10, 2023 written by joshuabiem August 10, 2023 90 No fewer than 48 suspects were arrested in the Katsina metropolis as Governor Dikko Radda led security operatives to raid criminal hideouts in the state capital. Operatives of various security agencies in the state took part in the operation on Tuesday, according to a statement on Wednesday by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Mohammed. The CPS said, “The operation took place between 10pm and 11.30pm. The hideouts raided by the governor and his delegation of security personnel were at Sabuwar Unguwa, Sharar Pipe, Dan Hako, Filin Polo, Kofar Guga and Tudun Matawalle. The criminals, in recent months, have been terrorising residents of the aforementioned areas and other parts of the Katsina metropolis. The hooligans are specialised in snatching phones and extortion of valuables from residents in various parts of Katsina. Mohammed added that as a follow-up to the Tuesday night raid, the governor convened an emergency meeting early Wednesday with security chiefs to discuss the resurgence of crimes in some parts of the state.
