Police Arrest Suspected Criminal in Delta

Police operatives attached to Dragon Patrol, during visibility and confidence-building patrol, recovered 250 rounds of live cartridges concealed in a bag along the Benin/Asaba Expressway at Iseele-Uku Community in Delta State. The police also arrested a 46-year-old male suspect, Omoruyi Osemudiame, owner of the bag containing the live cartridges. The Delta State Police Command, led by CP Wale Abass, confirmed the report in a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe. “On 3/8/2023 at about 1600hours, the police intercepted a commercial Sienna vehicle and subjected the passengers and their bags to a search. “During the search, two hundred and fifty (250) rounds of live cartridges concealed in a bag were recovered. The owner of the bag Identified as Omoruyi Osemudiamen ‘m’ age 46yrs was arrested and taken into custody,” the statement read. He added that investigation is ongoing.
