News Reports Police Kill 13 Kidnappers, Rescue 263 in Katsina by joshuabiem December 14, 2023 written by joshuabiem December 14, 2023 83 The Katsina State Police Command, on Wednesday, said its operatives killed 13 suspected kidnappers, arrested 104 armed robbery suspects and rescued 263 kidnapped victims in four months. The command’s spokesman, Abubakar Aliyu, disclosed this while speaking on the achievements of the state Commissioner of Police, Aliyu Musa. Aliyu said the police, during the period under review, also arrested 148 alleged rapists. He said the command, during the operations, recovered one English pistol, 523 rounds of live ammunition, four AK-47 rifles and six locally-made guns. Also recovered were 600 rustled animals, 12 suspected stolen vehicles, and motorcycles, 17 suspected stolen mobile phones, 180 wraps of dried weeds suspected to be Indian hemp and other kinds of drugs.
